2oz Monkey Shoulder 1oz Fresh Lemon juice 1oz Honey Ginger Syrup Peated Scotch Mist
Honey Ginger Syrup:
Juice ginger in a premium grade juicer. Combine 1 part Ginger Juice, 1 part water to 4 parts honey by weight (I.e 2 to 1), heat slightly to dissolve honey.
2oz Monkey Shoulder 0.25oz 1:1 Simple Syrup 4 dashes angostura
*Will be served from the 4.5L gorilla bottle
What’s In A name?
The term ‘monkey shoulder’ harks back to our whisky making heritage. It’s a reference to a condition that maltmen sometimes picked up while working long shifts, turning the barley by hand. It had a tendency to cause their arm to hang down a bit like a monkey’s, so they nicknamed it ‘monkey shoulder’.
